30 day shred update

I'm so sorry this has been a long time coming, but to be honest I could not have done this for 30 days straight! I ended up doing this on average 1-2 times a week (sometimes never :s). I can still see some results though, so I definitely feel it works, but this way is obviously a slower process!

In terms of muscle tone, I do still feel I have a long way to go until I'm happy with my stomach and arms, they are the worst in my opinion! But in regard to inch lost, I have lost 1/2 of an inch from around my stomach, so it is getting there slowly!
I felt that I disliked the second stage the most, and I attempted to dot he harder workouts on evening- it was horrible so I won't be doing that again. In terms of this being my first fitness DVD I'm pleasantly surprised, I didn't think I'd keep it up this long, or even like it (gotta admit Gillian is sooo annoying though!)
I really liked the Davina (McCall) weights that I bought too, so maybe in a month or so I might upgrade to a bigger weight- although these still feel SO heavy to me, so who knows.
I've been pretty unmotivated with it, but with my holiday now less than two months away I'm trying to go to the gym more

Have any of you been doing the 30 day shred recently? or have you tried any other fitness dvds you cued recommend?

  1. I haven't done the 30 day shred, but I have tried pilates fitness dvds. Like this, the progress is very slow and I did end up giving up sadly! But I did get some benefits and definitely did feel more 'toned' while doing it.

  3. I totally agree with Jillian being annoying! I don't use any fitness dvds personally, I always end up finding them difficult to follow!

  4. I tried the 30 day shred but I ended up getting bored with it super quickly. I've discovered I like a little more variety & I've been really enjoying pilates recently!

    1. I think I don't like the DVD aspect as well, and yes it got really repetitive- hopefully if I was doing it in a class I wouldn't get so bored

  5. I remember trying this a couple of years ago. The 2nd stage was incredibly difficult and it played havoc on my wrists with the push ups. It did tone me up though!

Maybe if I continued doing this just doing Level 1?

  9. you're SO good! I tried insanity for 1 day and gave up.
I like building my own routine so that's what I've done at the gym instead (says the girl that hasn't been there in 3weeks *bows head in shame*)
    Whats your motivation?

    1. I really don't have any motivation, apart form the fact I know I'm putting on weight everyday from sitting on my bum all day at an office job :s Insanity sounds crazy hard I don't even want to try it!

    1. I think I might have a go at Davina's, when I want to try a DVD workout again! She seems like she'd be less annoying than Gillian!

  14. Attempted this at the beginning of summer, for that 'summer body'. Surprisingly, it only lasted a week haha so yet to still attain this body!
