Summer = Festivals Part 1

I love going to festivals, and as it's approaching summer (one would hope!) I thought I'd do a little three part series on what I'd take to festivals, one is life essentials- and the other skincare/makeup, and then fashion essentials.
In the past I’ve been lucky enough to go to Reading, Glastonbury, Wireless, and Bestival. This year I tried to get some Glasto tickets, and didn't :( Hopefully next year!
Bestival, 2010
So this first part is all about the essentials, they probably seem pretty obvious, but you'd be surprised at how many people don't think to bring them!
But first of all if you are a first time festival goer:
  •  It is always best to make sure that you will get on with the people you share a tent with and who you drive/train/walk there with! Sounds silly, they’re your friends, course you will right!? NO, so make sure you can put up with so-and-so throwing up or whats-her-face being too drunk to sleep at 6am and annoying the hell out of you!
Glastonbury, 2008

The essentials:
No matter what a festival costs, if this is the first time you are going there are many other things to include; a tent, sleeping bag, rucksack and stove/plates/cutlery, for example if you have none of this already.
So those are the basic living essentials,
Next up theres one that I can't live without at festivals - and I like to think this applies to both genders?… BABY WIPES or any kind of large cleansing wipe. Me and my friends have what we call a baby wipe bath every morning and evening. Think its pretty self explanatory!
Now I did't know if the next essentials should go in my third part of this series, but I think they're more essential than fashion, so: Wellies, people think they can get away with trainers or flip flips, just no! Wellies are so much better for the wet/cold weather.
And another essential- Toilet paper, not something you usually have to carry on your person in day to day life, but there won'y be any hanging up in the cattle stalls they call toilets!
Finally; Money! You never know when/where or how you might need it (+ some don't have free cash machines).

Thanks for reading :)
Let me know if you like this series, and if you think the next two (skin/hair/beauty & fashion) are good ideas.
What  are your favourite festivals that you've been to or want to go to?
