Easter Creme Egg Brownie recipe

I love chocolate brownies, they're also about the only cake/ dessert thing that I can consistently (fingers crossed) make well every time, so I thought I'd try a little twist after seeing a photo of Creme Egg brownies on Instagram and thinking they look amazing!
I find them so simple to make once you know how.

The Ingredients are:
6 Creme eggs,
200g dark chocolate
3 med/large eggs
250g Caster sugar
75g Plain flour
45g Cocoa powder
150g Unsalted Butter
1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp Vanilla essence
First you want to break your chocolate up and put it in a glass bowl with the butter and heat slowly over a bain marie (saucepan with boiling water- bowl on top not touching water), while that is happening. Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and vanilla essence together in another large mixing bowl.
Then line a 13 by 21 cm tray (or whatever you have that is a similar size- with greaseproof paper.
Once the chocolate butter mix has completed melted, take off the bain marie and leave to cool for about 5 minutes. In a cup mix the 3 eggs together and then add the eggs and chocolate mixture to the flour and sugar and stir.
Once the mixture has combined and is quite a thick consistency put to one side and start cutting your creme eggs in half- which is harder then it sounds! They are fiddly little buggers. I put mine the the freezer for a few hours before using them as I didn't want them to over cook in the oven but this is optional.
Then you want to put the brownie mixture in your baking tray and in a preheated oven at about 150C for about 10 minutes, after this take the brownies out and quickly press in the creme egg halves-eggy side up in the brownie mixture and put back in the over for another 10-15 minutes.
After that they should look something like this:

Leave to cool, cut up and enjoy!
Thanks for reading, hope you all have a lovely Easter and eat too much chocolate like I plan on doing!

P.s My friend Hayley and recently started up a blog and one of her first posts was this brownie recipe!! I'd love if you could go check out her blog and let her know what you think :)
