Everyone seems to rave about it; the product claims to 'eliminate skin imperfections such as spots, redness or scarring. It contains LHA and Linoliec acid which helps unblock pores.
I was expecting amazing results straight away, which I didn't see. but then I don't have 'severe' imperfections, more the odd spot and slight redness. I did find it quite drying- this is probably due to the LHA and acid but I have found it has really help unclog pores.
Effaclar Duo has reduced my pores and made them much less noticeable! I've also found it's helped smooth my skin out as a base for make up. I wouldn't say it helps a spot once it's appeared but it definitely stops them from forming.
I bought this for £8.67 as it's currently reduced on Escentual.com, but I'm not sure it's as amazing as everyone makes out and is worth the full price tag- maybe time will tell!
Thanks for reading, have you tried any La Roche Posay products or do you have any good alternatives to recommend?

DIY strawberry fruit bouquet
That's what I really like about it to, I don't use it too often though as it makes my dry patches worse!

This reacted nastily with me - my face went bright red and really hot (review on my blog if you want to read it). I too thought it was going to be a miracle worker. For the price I found it such a disappointment!! xx

I do want to try this but I don't have any major skin issues so it might not be worth the splurge for me xx
ReplyDeleteYes- someone above commented on it making them really red, so it might not be for everyone!

I have this on my wishlist, tempted to pick one up after my spending ban but little worried about how many people have also said the same as yourself in that it's quite drying x

It is quite drying so I find it best to use with another moisturiser on top, it seems OK after that though :)

Thanks for sharing lovely, I hadn't heard of this product before reading your post :)

Thanks! I know it does seemed to be hyped up quite a lot, I like it but not as much as other bloggers, clearly!

I want to try this but I've never used anything like it so I don't know what to compare it to! xo
ReplyDeleteMe either, it's like a moisturiser that didn't really moisturise- to me. But I like everything else it does, like minimizing pores

Great review! I've been tempted to pick up a tube of this but I have a feeling it'd be a bit too drying for my skin!

Thank! It is quite drying on me- or it exagerates my dry patches. I've found that if I use a moisturiser over it, it's fine
